Digipak- Planning

  • For our Digipak we wanted it to fold out to reveal a large band photo at the back so it could double as a poster - similar to what has been used on the My Chemical Romance Digipak analysed before.
  • The footsteps image is similar to the one which we had shown on the pitch:
We wanted to use this image as it relates very easily to the song name as well as being an recognisable picture which the band could be identified using.
This also follows the classic indie-cover look which is a simple image which doesn't give too much away about the band - therefore only appealing to a niche audience as it ignores all aspects of 'star image' which is often a factor when an artist is used for the front cover.
The footstep image will also be used on the back cover and the CD itself - therefore all easily visible aspects of the digipak are the same picture, not allowing the audience any view of the band unless they expressly open up the digipak to see.
