Beyoncé ft. Jay-z ‘Crazy in Love’ Analysis

Beyonce - Run The World

Beyoncé in her latest music videos can be seen to wear revealing clothes and have an extremely attractive and well-polished look, as she did during her first solo single. Therefor this still shows the Male Gaze and aspects of Body Morality as she is still catering to what is considered attractive and this could therefor still persuade female viewers to see themselves as unattractive and consider changing them to look like her.
While on the other hand, unlike her first video she is sending a message of ‘girl-power’ which contradicts the first view of women being an object for the man. In this case she also could be considered a good role-model to young girls as she promotes independence.
In the music video ‘Run the World (Girls)’ the music genre had changed from pop music to more hip-hop as it lacks the catchy music which made her first song so memorable.
